Chopta is a stunningly beautiful hill station nestled in the Himalayas of Uttarakhand. Often called the "Mini Switzerland of India," this 20 sq km region varies in height from 1800m near Sari Village to 4090m at Chandrashila Summit.
Take in the breathtaking views and explore Chopta — a small valley region of meadows and evergreen temperate forest, part of the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary.
March to June (spring/summer) and September to November (autumn) offer the best weather. Winter (December–February) brings snow-covered landscapes for a magical experience. During winters, roads may close 1–8 km before Chopta depending on snow.
